Daughter calls law enforcement after altercation between mother and father

Brandy Steinmetz

A 30-year-old Lady Lake woman was arrested after she allegedly attacked her husband after he attempted to wake her up Monday morning at their home.

Brandy Steinmetz was arrested on a charged of domestic battery after Lady Lake police were called at about 5 a.m. Monday to the family residence in the 300 block of Carriage Lane.

Steinmetz had been drinking earlier and was in bed sleeping when her husband attempted to wake her up, according to an arrest report. She became irate and struck her husband in the side of the head. A verbal argument followed, the report indicated.

Hearing the altercation, the couple’s daughter called law enforcement.

Steinmetz was taken into custody and booked at the Lake County Jail. She was released after posting $2,000 bond.

Steinmetz had been arrested in 2009 on a charge of battery. That case was later dropped.
