21-year-old killed when truck leaves roadway and strikes tree

A 21-year-old man was killed when his truck left the roadway and struck a tree Sunday in Osceola County.

Joseph Mancillas Jr. of St. Cloud had been at the wheel of a 1996 Ford truck on Hickory Tree Road when the vehicle left the roadway, traveled through a fence and struck a tree, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Medical Examiner.

He had not been wearing a seatbelt, the report noted.
