Update on soggy golf courses which remain shut down in The Villages

Several golf courses in The Villages will remain closed Wednesday because of wet conditions brought on by several days of heavy rains.

Championship courses that will be shut down include: Orange Blossom Hills, Hacienda Hills, Glenview Champions, Lopez Legacy and Caroline at Mallory Hills.

Executive courses that will be closed include: Silver Lake, Hill Top, Chula Vista, Mira Mesa and El Santiago.

Villages golf officials are warning that overnight rainfall could force even more closures Wednesday. And golfers should expect come cart restrictions on various courses.
