Fruitland Park man arrested after stolen guns discovered during DEA raid

A Fruitland Park man was arrested Thursday after stolen guns were discovered during a Drug Enforcement Administration raid at his home.

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team joined in the raid at 2836 Register Road in Fruitland Park.

Charles Wayne Harrison Sr., 53, was found to be in possession of 14 weapons. That cache of weapons included a .45-caliber Bond Arms handgun, a .32-caliber handgun and a long rifle, all reportedly stolen out of Marion County.

A plastic baggie containing cocaine was also discovered in the home.

He was arrested on three counts of grand theft of a firearm, as well as a charge of possession of cocaine.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $17,000 bond.
