Woman screams at cashier on way out of Ocala Wal-Mart with stolen batteries

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy was called to an Ocala Wal-Mart on Sunday after a woman yelled at a cashier and walked out of the store without paying for merchandise.

The store’s theft prevention officer told the deputy that the woman entered the store, located at 9570 SE Hwy. 200, shortly before 10 a.m. She said the woman walked to the area where batteries are kept and put two marine batteries in her cart, a sheriff’s office report states.

The woman then exited the store without paying for the batteries, which were valued at $146.68, the report says, adding that the woman screamed at a cashier who confronted her.
