Villager’s daughter-in-law serves as guest conductor with New Horizons Band

A Villager’s daughter-in-law took a turn with the baton Tuesday night as guest conductor with the New Horizons Band in The Villages.

Julia Baumanis recently graduated from Florida State University with her Ph.D. in Music Education with an Emphasis on Instrumental Conducting.

She and her husband, Adam Klein, were visiting his parents in The Villages.

Her father-in-law, Richard Klein, is a new member in the New Horizons Band, which is in rehearsal for the Bands of the Villages Patriotic Concert set for July 3.

Marilyn Klein is Adam Klein’s mother. She and her husband live in the Village of Bonita.
