Police called to The Quarters Apartments after ex-boyfriend shows up uninvited

Police were called to The Quarters Apartments in Lady Lake after an ex-boyfriend showed up uninvited.

A 24-year-old woman said she and her current boyfriend were in bed on the night of June 19 when they heard the opening of the front door of the apartment, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. She realized her ex-boyfriend had entered the apartment with an unauthorized key.

The woman told police her ex-boyfriend was still upset about the breakup and the fact that she had “moved on.”

The ex-boyfriend told police he had come over to see his children.

The new boyfriend determined it was a good time to leave. The ex-boyfriend was allowed to wait at the apartment until he was able to obtain a ride back to his home in Fruitland Park.
