Teenager arrested after leading law enforcement on chase in stolen car

A teenager was arrested after leading police on a chase in a stolen car.

Gabriel Abdual Marshall, 18, of Leesburg, was allegedly driving the stolen vehicle and being pursued by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, according to an arrest report.

He entered into Fruitland Park and went to the Crossings Apartments, where he nearly rammed a patrol car. Marshall made it to County Road 466A and then to U.S. Hwy. 27/441, where he crashed into another vehicle. He kept driving on U.S. Hwy. 27/441, with his headlights off. He was finally apprehended at TruGreen Lawn Care at 2820 U.S. Hwy. 27/441.

Fruitland Park police and Lady Lake police assisted in the case.

Marshall was arrested on charges of grand theft auto, fleeing law enforcement, aggravated assault on law enforcement and driving with no driver’s license.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail on $65,000 bond.
