Benjamin Benard Solotoroff

Benjamin Solotoroff, of The Villages, Florida, was a prominent member of Congregation Beth Sholom in Leesburg, along with his beloved wife of 48 years, Marion Solotoroff.

They moved to The Villages 9 years ago from Merrick, Long Island, New York, and have developed a close-knit group of friends in the area since 2015.

Together with their children, Bruce, Sheryl (Steve) and Jeffrey (Alison), Richard (Janet) and Lisa (Steve) and their grandchildren, Michael, Lauren, Isabella, Sarah, Austin and Adrianna, the Solotoroffs have created a circle of love that extends through their family’s home communities across the United States, where many of his longest and dearest loved ones know him as “Sonny.”

As a leader at Congregation Beth Sholom, Ben founded the Social Club which continues to provide an outlet for education, friendship and fun for members and guests of the congregation.

Ben loved music of all kinds, and was a great dancer, excelling in all of the classic ballroom dances. He was a good friend to many, maintaining close ties with colleagues and social friends from the days since his early work with his company providing financing information and advice to the garment and textile industries in New York City.
