A 21-year-old Lady Lake man is being held at the Lake County Jail after allegedly making methamphetamine in a home where two children were present.

Calebe James Fanning of 211 Ann St. is being held on $24,000 bond on charges of manufacture of methamphetamine, child endangerment, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine.

A woman contacted Lady Lake police after she found her adult son in a back bedroom of her home with an adult male she did not know. Both men fled the scene before police arrived.

The woman saw smoke coming from the room and police confirmed it was an active meth lab.

Two children were in the residence at the time of the incident and the children were exposed to the fumes of the active meth lab, the arrest report indicated.
