Christine ‘Tina’ Montalto

Christine (Tina) Montalto, age 72, of Lady Lake, FL passed away on September 27, 2014. Tina was born on November 3, 1941 in Queens, NY. Her 53 years of marriage to Orlando taught us all the true meaning of love and devotion. Tina enthusiastically embraced her calling in life as a homemaker. She enjoyed raising her children and simply adored spending time with her grandchildren. They were a source of many good memories for her. Tina loved the simple things in life; a chilly fall day, a walk to the park with her grandkids, a day at the beach with her family, a good book, or just everyone huddled around the table together. Tina was an avid reader and crossword puzzle connoisseur with a wonderful sense of humor. She loved to cook and sew and would never pass up an opportunity to go shopping. She was smart, caring, thoughtful, witty, and on occasion absent-minded. She touched many hearts. Mom was a constant reminder of courage, grace, and amazing strength. God chooses the toughest battles for his toughest soldiers. Mom was a courageous warrior who gracefully battled more than her share. May peace be with you always, Mom. With gratitude and so much love. A special thanks to the Lane Purcell Hospice House for all of their love and support. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, Lady Lake, on Saturday October 11 at 8:30 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
