The outgoing chairman of the Community Development District 6 Board of Supervisors has been honored for 12 years of service.
CDD 6 Supervisor Peter Moeller took to the podium at Friday’s meeting to pay tribute to Supervisor Sally Moss, with whom he has served for many years.
“She has given us tremendous leadership,” Moeller said of Moss, who has wielded the chairman’s gavel for several years.
Moss, who could not run for re-election in CDD 6 after she decided to run for the Sumter County School Board, indicated her resignation from the board will be effective Monday.
She pointed to holding the line on maintenance assessment rates paid by residents and building up CDD 6’s financial reserves as major accomplishments.
“We’ve always put our residents first in our decisions,” Moss said.
Moeller presented Moss with a clock in honor of her service in CDD 6.
