Summerfield woman nabbed on multiple DUI probation violations

Crystal Ann Heishman

A Summerfield woman sought on probation violations in a DUI case was arrested Tuesday morning at the Marion County Jail in Ocala.

Crystal Ann Heishman, 28, was taken into custody for allegedly violating her probation relating to a prior arrest for driving under the influence. Heishman initially was placed on probation for a year on Oct. 12, 2017 but a warrant was issued for her arrest after she violated the conditions of that order, a Marion County Sheriff’s Office report states.

Heishman owed $300 in back fees after being ordered to pay $60 per month to cover the cost of supervision and rehabilitation. She also owed $40 for alcohol screens administered during her probation and failed to complete a random screen on March 14. And she “admitted to drinking alcohol two days prior to her Baker Act on 01-27-17 at The Vines Hospital,” the report states.

Heishman, who lives at 3531 SE 147th Pl. in Summerfield, also gave authorities an address of 1316 NE 24th St. in Ocala. She is being held with no bond and a court date hasn’t been set, jail records show.

Heishman is no stranger to the Marion County legal system. In addition to her most recent trip to the jail, she has been housed in the facility three other times since January 2012, records show.

Her prior arrests included charges of dealing in stolen property, giving a false report to law enforcement, grand theft, driving under the influence and criminal mischief. A prosecutor elected not to move forward with the criminal mischief charge in October 2017, Marion County Court records show.
