An 18-year-old Fruitland Park woman is being held on $3,000 bond at the Lake County Jail following her arrest early Wednesday morning by Leesburg police.

Ashley Marie Jones had been driving a Ford SUV without headlights on U.S. 27, according to an arrest affidavit from the Leesburg Police Department.

The arresting officer suspected that Jones might be under the influence of drugs or alcohol. A K-9 alerted on the vehicle, the arrest report indicated. The officer asked if she had drugs in the vehicle and she responded that a pill, later identified as Paxil, was in her purse.

The officer also found a small Mason jar containing marijuana in the center console of her vehicle.

She refused to take a breath test, the report indicated.

Jones was charged with driving under the influence, possession of marijuana and possession of a drug without a prescription.
