21-year-old woman arrested in brawl at laundromat in Wildwood

A 21-year-old woman was arrested Sunday afternoon after an alleged attack on another woman at a laundromat in Wildwood.

Queana Jayshun Cooper entered the Wash Saloon at about 4:30 p.m. and exchanged words with the other woman before striking her with a closed fist in the back of the head, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The other woman defended herself and fought back. Cooper continued fighting and scratched the other woman on the arm.

A witness backed up the victim’s account of the incident.

Cooper was arrested on charge of battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $1,000.
