District official confirms it was a sinkhole that drained pond

Sam Wartinbee of District Property Management confirmed Friday morning it was a sinkhole that drained a pond on the Pimlico Executive Golf Course this past month. The question had been put to him at Friday’s meeting of the Community Development District 6 supervisors.

The problem at the pond has been fixed, Wartinbee said.

“Now all we need is a little rainfall,” he added.
