Free educational training offered in recognition of World Tuberculosis Day

The Florida Department of Health-Marion County is hosting a free educational training on March 24 in recognition of World Tuberculosis Day. Local health care staff and students are eligible to attend the hands-on training where they will learn valuable tuberculosis information and guidance on TB skin tests. Free educational materials will also be available. Individuals who attend will earn one free continuing education unit, or CEU. Participants can choose from one of two sessions on March 24: 9 to 10 a.m. or 2 to 3 p.m.

Seating is limited. Attendees are asked to reserve their spots by Friday, March 17. To RSVP, email Ashley.Terry@FLHealth.gov with your name, the name of your organization/office and the number of people attending with you. For questions, call the department at 352-629-0137, ext. 2088.
