Golf cart stolen from Wal-Mart in Summerfield

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of a golf cart Thursday from the Wal-Mart in Summerfield.

The owner of the golf cart, a Summerfield resident, told deputies that he came out of the store and discovered his two-seater Club Car missing.

Witnesses said they saw a pair of men load the golf cart onto a trailer being pulled by a pickup truck. Video from the store’s surveillance cameras supported the witnesses’ version of facts.

The investigation into the golf cart theft continues, according to the sheriff’s office.
