HarborChase of Villages Crossing held a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday afternoon and hundreds were in attendance to tour the new facilities. The assisted living community opened its doors in mid-February and began moving residents in shortly thereafter.
“Today is a day of pride for a job well done,” said Jenny Phillips, the Executive Director of the new community. “We look forward to having the privilege of making a difference in the lives of our residents and serving the needs of our community,” added Phillips. The opening marks months of preparation and final certification for the new facility, which boasts state-of-the-art features and modern designs.
“We’re very proud of [the community]. In fact, we’re so proud, we’re going to replicate [this community] at a bunch of other sites. We’re [replicating it] in Sarasota, Florida, Shorewood, Wisconsin, Naperville, Illinois,” and a collection of other locations, said Timothy Smick, the President and CEO of HRA. HRA currently operates Regency Park in Vero Beach, Florida.
The new community features a putting green, a gym equipped with new equipment and exam rooms, and lush landscape throughout the premises. The dining hall features cathedral ceilings and a grand piano, as well as a state-of-the-art kitchen. Many of the couple dozen residents that have already moved into the facility were out enjoying all of the special treats the community provided for today’s open house.
“A big thank you to our residents and their families…thank you for trusting us with your care and we won’t let you down” said Smick of the community and its staff.
