India ‘Sissy’ Maddux

India ‘Sissy’ Blake Maddux of The Villages, FL and Louisville, Kentucky, suddenly lost her battle with a prolonged illness on August 23, 2017, in The Villages, Florida, surrounded by family members and friends. She was 59 years of age.

Sissy was widely known for her women’s clothing and apparel store she had for over six years, in Jeffersontown, KY, called “Sissy’s Consignments and Boutique”. She would always give her customers a good deal and had an infectious smile, but her true passion was to use the store as her pulpit and to “love on her customers” in the name of Jesus. Customers found solace and peace in her store, as she always had Christian music playing, loudly. Sissy never met a stranger, no matter where she went and thoroughly detested conflict of any kind. Sissy’s welcoming personality, compassion for people and Southern charm will sorely be missed by all that knew and loved her. She was one-of-a-kind!

Sadly, Sissy left behind her husband and best friend of 37 years, Rod, her four wonderful children, Molly (34), Blake (32), Maddy (28) and Macy (27); four sweet grandchildren, Braylon, Paisley, Phoenix and Anna Claire; many nieces and nephews.

On Tuesday, August 29, 2017, there will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. for Sissy at the Lady Lake Chapel of Beyers Funeral Home. A subsequent memorial service in her hometown of Louisville, KY is tentatively scheduled for September 16, 2017, time and place to be determined.

Sissy and her family respectively request that in lieu of flowers, please send your generous donations, in Sissy Maddux’s name, to Scarlet Hope Ministry of Louisville, KY, P.O. Box 642, Louisville, KY, 40206. This ministry exists to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with women in the adult entertainment industry and Sissy’s passion for this organization led her to give complete outfits to the women who graduated from this program in search of a new career path.
