Janice A. Birnie

Janice A. Birnie, 83, of The Villages, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at the Villages Hospice House. She was a Retired as an Executive Assistant for Arthur Anderson and Co after 20 years. She was a native of Chicago, Illinois and moved to this area from Olympia Fields, Il 20 years ago. She was of Methodist faith and attended Community United Methodist Church in Fruitland Park, She enjoyed, painting , pottery and woodworking, she was a member of the Air Head Exercise Club, and The Villages Pottery Club. She enjoyed golf. Survivors include, Allison Firth, Daughter of Chicago, IL; Marilyn Birnie, Sister in law, of Chicago, IL; Cathy McMullen, Close Friend, of Fruitland Park, FL; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10am on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The VIllages, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd. There will be a gathering of family and friends one half hour to the service. There will be a gathering in the reception area following the service.
