Nicholas Lucien Marino, 79, of The Villages, FL, passed from this life Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Born in Yonkers, NY, Nick served his country as a Navy veteran of the Korean War. Nick was a hairdresser in the personal care industry for over 25 years. He was the proprietor of the Charming Lady Salon in Rye, New York retiring in 1985. He moved to The Villages from Rye, NY in 2004. He enjoyed the people of The Villages and was active in water volley ball, golf and dancing. He was an avid reader. Nick was a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church. Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife of 45 years Barbara Ann (Russo) Marino in 2004 and sons Richard and Nicholas. Nick is survived by his domestic partner, Dianna Esther of The Villages, daughter, Barbara Ann Meseck of Lakeland, FL.; grandchildren Nicholas John Calabrese, William Edward Pratt, Jr., Matthew Davison Twomey, Justin Daniel Pratt, Alexander Joseph Pratt, John Michael Twomey, Gianna Marie Gulotta and great granddaughter, Raina Mae Twomey and a sister Marie Rubbo of Tega Cay, SC. A Celebration of Nick’s Life will be held at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 2 p.m. followed by visitation until 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (woundedwarriorproject.org).
