Jim Merello, of The Villages, FL, born August 7, 1946, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 after a long battle with lung cancer. Jim was born in Washington, DC to parents John and Ellen Merello. He first came to The Villages as a trainer for EI DuPont for a piece of equipment put in the new Villages Hospital Imaging Center. When they sold their digital radiology products, he worked for several years for various smaller radiology companies in a similar capacity.

He leaves behind his wife, Carolyn, of 46 years, a daughter, Kimberly Carey and husband Blake, a one year old granddaughter, Kenzie, and a sister, Joan Pessagno and husband Marty, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
