Chris Canady

Chris Canady, age 17, of Lady Lake, FL, passed away early Thursday, August 11, 2016 at University of Florida Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida after a sudden illness. Chris was born in St. Mary’s, Georgia and moved to the Lady Lake area with his family in 2012 from Orange Park, Florida. He was a student at Leesburg High School. Chris was a special person to all who knew him. He had an artistic and introspective personality and derived great joy from creative activities like painting, drawing, and writing. He loved animals, and was an avid reader. He was rarely seen without his Kindle. He aspired to become a history teacher. Chris’ absence is profoundly felt by his parents – Mike and Angela Canady of Lady Lake; a brother – Aric Canady of Lady Lake. Maternal Grandparents – Dr. Richard and Laura Cole of Fruitland Park, FL; Paternal Grandparents – Jim and Denise Nichols of Orange Park and Bill Canady of Georgia; Maternal Great-Grandparents – Donna Evans of DeWitt, Iowa and Jacqueline Cole of Durant, Iowa; and Paternal Great-Grandfather – Lindel Jobe of Orange Park.

Chris’ family will host a visitation and gathering from 5 – 7 p.m. – Monday, August 15, 2016 at the Page-Theus Funeral Home, 914 West Main Street, Leesburg, Florida
