Motorcyclist killed in Pasco County after losing control of motorcycle

A motorcyclist was killed Tuesday evening in Pasco County after losing control of his motorcycle.

Thomas G. Dalton, 47, of Spring Hill, was riding a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound on Rowan Road approaching the intersection of Baillie Drive when he lost control of the motorcycle for unknown reasons and departed from the northbound lanes. Dalton entered the southbound lanes and overturned, according to a Florida Highway Patrol accident report. Kaitlyn Noel Clasen, 27, of New Port Richey was driving a 1998 Lexus sedan southbound and collided with the motorcycle that came to rest in the southbound lanes, while Dalton came to rest in the median, the report stated.

Dalton, who had not been wearing a helmet, was transported to North Bay Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
