Sumter County teenager, two of her passengers seriously injured in two-car crash on U.S. 301

A 17-year-old Sumter County teenager and two of her teen passengers were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning on U.S. 301.

Autumn Flynn of Bushnell had been at the wheel of a 2006 Jeep Liberty at 11:47 a.m. at U.S. 301 and County Road 542 when she failed to stop at a stop sign and drove into the path of a 2004 Ford F-250 driven by 79-year-old Henry Goodwin Sr. of Lake Pansoffkee, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Autumn Flynn was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

Jacob Flynn, 16, also of Bushnell, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital in Orlando. Another passenger in Autumn Flynn’s vehicle, 16-year-old Rudolfo Pinon of Bushnell, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center. A third passenger, 16-year-old Megan Flynn of Bushnell, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Ocala Regional Medical Center.

Goodwin suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bayfront Health in Brooksville.

Charges are pending, the report noted.
