Gov. Rick Scott should veto bill rushed through legislature

This last week the Republican majority in the Florida legislature has managed to astound the entire United States. Once again they have put their own special interests above the desires and interests of Florida’s citizens and produced a piece of legislation on gun reform that makes clear they are not listening to the citizens of Florida, but instead to the NRA.
Since the violence at Pulse, gun safety bills have been ignored in the Florida Legislature and could not get committee hearings. Now with our children in the streets after Parkland, a bill has been rushed through the Legislature that does not make our children safer, but actually puts more guns in schools by arming school personnel.
We urge Gov. Rick Scott to veto this measure and want the legislature to know that the Democratic Women’s Club of Florida is watching your actions and will work to hold you accountable in the November elections.
We urge all Florida’s citizens to VOTE THEM OUT!
