Four generations of Hudsons come together in The Villages for special family reunion

Five members of the Hudson family who live in The Villages hosted a four-generation family reunion in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown recently.

Four generations of the Hudson family came to The Villages earlier this month for a family reunion.

Billie Hudson Jr. (Village of Amelia), Vivian Hudson (Village of Liberty Park), Mary Hudson (Village Hemingway), and James and Linda Hudson (Village of Hadley) put on the event that kicked off July 12 and ended four days later.

The reunion got under way with a family dinner at Carrabba’s Italian Grill and ended with a family dinner Vivian Hudson’s home.

A fish fry was held on  July 13 at the home of Billie Hudson, with James Hudson serving as the main cook. More than 40 family members and friends attended the affair.

Mary Hudson produced a 52-page booklet of family memories and stories that also included various photos of all family members.

On  July 14, family members gathered at Bacall Recreation Center, where each attendee made a “good news” presentation of events and happenings in their lives.
The oldest attendee at the Hudson family reunion was 77 and the youngest just three months old.
