Villager hit nail on the head with regard to Katie Belle’s

To the Editor:

I was pleased to read Libby Scobell’s editorial opinion regarding Katie Belle’s restaurant. (I WILL NOT MOURN THE LOSS OF KATIE BELLE’S.) My husband and I agree that we couldn’t have said it better.
We, too moved here in 2000 and Katie Belle’s was our favorite place to go. We actually, rented three years before we moved here and we were thrilled to watch the entire building go up. We just loved it!
Since it has been renovated, we have not been there very often. It just doesn’t portray that special atmosphere.
Libby described an atmosphere that is missing here in The Villages. We hope you will take her ideas to heart.
