Gov. DeSantis treats citizens like adults

To the Editor:

I am responding to the diatribe that was classified as an editorial on Dec. 27. This is another classic case of worrying what the other guy is doing. We have a governor who treats his citizens like ADULTS and let’s you decide on what to do. If you wish to live in fear, have at it. If you try to live your life as normal as possible, OK.  I will not get into the politics of who gets the vaccine  first. Everyone is getting political on the vaccines.  I think we are up to 3 versions with more in the pipeline. Then they say, this is the first stage?  Think about this:  Flu cases are DOWN because everyone is wearing a mask.  COVID-19 cases are UP because everyone is wearing a mask.  Whom do we believe?  I know this is a terrible disease.   I do not take it lightly. This is all about control.  Stoke your fear and you will do ANYTHING.  I practice the protocols but I refuse to live in fear. This is not the American way.
