The woman on June 3 went to the Walmart Neighborhood Market at Sarasota Plaza where she selected multiple items, proceeded to the self-checkout where she scanned the items and ultimately left the store without paying for them. At the end of the transaction, a Walmart associate came over to the woman and verified her age due to scanned alcohol products she had selected. After the associate entered the clearance for the alcohol items, the woman gathered her bags and left the store without paying for the merchandise. The woman climbed into a two-seater light blue Yamaha golf cart with a blue, white, and brown striped curtain around the top of it. An “older white man” was driving the golf cart, according to the sheriff’s office.
