Roger Roland Rice Sr., the beloved husband of Kathy Rice, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 4th , 2024, at the age of 83.

Roger was born on September 29, 1940, to Paul and Mary Rice in Newark, Ohio. He served 2 years in the army and was stationed in Luxenberg Germany. He went on to marry Miss. Kathryn (Kathy) Robinson. They were married for 41 years. Prior to retirement, he worked for 58 years total for B.O.C. Gases, 38 years as the regional Atlantic area manager and another 20 as a consultant. He worked there for so long that he saw the company change hands several times, Airco, then B.O.C. And Linde, but he remained the constant. He loved his job.

Roger and Kathy made their home in The Villages, Florida. They were members at Living Grace Church in Leesburg. Over the years Roger was active in the church as a Sunday School teacher, Royal Ranger leader, board member and went on mission trips . He loved spending time in the mountains of Tennessee. He loved to go on cruises and spend his winters in Vero Beach Florida walking the beach before moving to the Villages. He enjoyed going to concerts and loved Southern gospel music. He was a devoted father, stepfather, and grandfather and loved his family very much.

Roger is survived by his loving wife Kathy, his children Lisa Rice of Tampa Florida, Mande Passaro of Clearwater Florida , Kim (Dan)
Bellis of Windermere Florida , Roger (Carolyn) Rice Jr.of Avon Lake Ohio, and stepdaughter Lisa (Raymond) Weyand of East Liverpool Ohio.Ten grandchildren Joshua( Erin )Balmenti, Tim ( Helign), Green Zachary(Amanda) Weyand, Cory Weyand, Kyle Weyand, Gianna Passaro, Christian Passaro, Marley Fishman, Brooks Ritchie, Baylor Ritchie, and one great-grandchild. His five sisters Barbara Sheitleff, Darleen Yetts, Nancy Peterson, Margrett Adkison, Charlotte Pickett and two brothers Jimmy and John Rice.

He is pre-deceased by his parents Paul and Mary Rice, his brothers Ricky and David and his sister Faith.

A visitation service will be held at Roberts of Ocala Downtown Chapel in Ocala, Florida on Thursday, March 7th from 4 pm to 6 pm.

A graveside service will be held at The Fellowship Cemetery in Wimauma, Florida on Friday, March 8th, 2024 at noon.
