Villager ticketed after her car rear-ends convertible that ran out of gas on County Road 466

A 35-year-old resident of The Villages was ticketed after her car rear-ended a vehicle that ran out of gas Thursday morning on County Road 466.

Jeremy James Bell, 28, of Weirsdale had been driving a 1998 Chevy Convertible shortly after 11 a.m. when his vehicle ran out of gasoline, according to Lady Lake police.

It was rear-ended by a 2014 silver Infinity four-door driven by Amber Nichole Wilson. She was ticketed on a charge of following too closely. Both drivers escaped injury. Both vehicles were towed from the scene of the crash.
