A man has been sentenced in connection with a golf cart accident last year that left a woman with a fractured skull.
James Ray Rackley, 33, who lives at 1737 W. Schwartz Blvd. on the Historic Side of The Villages, was arrested this past October after a 30-year-old woman fell from a golf cart he had been driving in the early morning hours in Spanish Springs.
He was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence.
Last week in Lake County Court, he entered a plea of no contest in the case.
He was sentenced to 12 months probation, will lose his driver’s license for six months and has been ordered to perform 50 hours of community service. He was also ordered to undergo alcohol evaluation and seek recommended treatment. He has been ordered not to consume or possess alcohol.
