Lady Lake man free on bond following arrest for driving on license expired for a decade

A 47-year-old Lady Lake man is free on $1,000 bond following his arrest for driving on a license that has been expired for a decade.

Jose Luis Cervantes of 907 April Hills Blvd. was pulled over at 1:39 a.m. Sunday for failing to stop at a stop sign at Old Dixie Highway and Griffin View Drive, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Cervantes admitted to the officer that his license had been expired since 2007.

He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting bond.
