Public’s help sought in search for tattooed suspect who took merchandise from Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge

The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in identifying this suspect.

Sumter County sheriff’s detectives are seeking assistance from the public in the theft of merchandise from Wal-Mart at Buffalo Ridge Plaza in The Villages.

The suspect entered the store at 2:12 p.m. Nov. 10 and removed an App-Controlled LED 48-inch Smart Lighting Kit valued at $49.99 from its packaging, concealed it and carried the item out of the store without paying for it. The suspect has a tear drop tattoo under his right eye according to a witness. He left the area in a red Dodge Avenger.
