There is perhaps no greater example of a “snowbird” than jolly old Saint Nicholas. He visits The Villages for the holidays and, before flying back up north, he lives up the Villager lifestyle.
Santa was living and loving the Villager lifestyle during Wednesday night’s live entertainment at Lake Sumter Landing.
The man behind the beard, Hank Drewnowski, joined members of 3 For The Road Plus 1 (Ray Lamia, Gary Senator, Richard Senator and Larry Zepernick) for a surprise that delighted all those in attendance.
After walking in to his classic tune (“Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town”), Santa charmed the crowd with his dance moves, at one point even starting a conga line.
Among the hundreds of Villagers that danced the night away with Mr. Claus were two familiar Villages-news.com faces. Dr. Gabe and Diana Mirkin, who can always be seen throughout The Villages in their signature bicycle gear, got their groove on while Santa worked his way through the crowd.
