George Bernard Anderson

George Bernard Anderson, 81, of The Villages, FL, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on December 18, 2017 He was born on April 27, 1936 in Chicago, IL to George & Hildur Anderson.

He attended Taft High School where he competed in speed ice skating. He graduated from North Park College and received his Civil Engineering Degree from Chicago Technical College. He met and married Penny and they spent most of their lives in Chicagoland Area. He was the owner of a civil engineering company for 13 years. He was a real estate broker and he loved to dabble in real estate with flipping houses.

Favorite places in the summers included time spent in Lake Geneva and Minocqua, WI for boating and games with family. He retired and they moved to The Villages in 2005. During those years, he and Penny did a lot of traveling, especially enjoying a trip to Israel. They went on over 35 cruises.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. In his early life, he attended Immanuel Covenant Church in Chicago, then after marriage, North Park Covenant Church. They moved to Mt. Prospect, IL and attended Northwest Covenant Church and served on the church board. He also served on the Covenant Development Board.

George is survived by his wife, Penny, 3 sons, Kurt (Gail), Bill (Julie), Blair (Lynda); six granddaughters, Britta (Jared Campbell), Linnea, Hanna, Krista, Jennie, Emma and one grandson, Drew.
