A deceased Villager’s home in foreclosure will likely be the subject of fines over missing and broken paver bricks.

The home at 535 St. Andrews Blvd. in the Village of Country Club Hills had belonged to Margaret Gray.

This home at 535 St. Andrews Blvd is in foreclosure.

Today, it is in foreclosure and the utilities have been shut off.

Community Standards received a complaint Jan. 2 about the missing and broken driveway pavers as well as a complaint about the lanai roof. Community Standards contacted the holder of the mortgage, US Bank. A member of the property preservation department at US Bank on Feb. 27 informed Community Standards that a bid for the roof has been approved. However, the US Bank representative indicated that they would only pick up the broken pieces in the driveway.

Several brick pavers are missing at this home in the Village of Country Club Hills.

A public hearing was held Wednesday afternoon before the Village Center Community Development District Board of Supervisors.

The bank was given 30 days to bring the property into compliance. If not, a $150 fine, payable within 10 days, will be imposed followed by $50 daily fines. If the fines reach $1,500 the matter will be turned over to District Counsel.
