Retailer announces plan to open location at Brownwood Paddock Square

A local retailer is planning to open a location at Brownwood Paddock Square.

Babette’s Furniture and Home Shoppe will be moving into the location on Meggison Road, next door to Bluefin Grill & Bar.

Babette’s has been operating for 30 years in Leesburg.

Babette’s Furniture and Home Shoppe will open a 12,000-square-foot showroom at Brownwood Paddock Square.

When Babette’s was founded in 1988 by Gary and Babette Ward, it was located in a doublewide trailer across from the Lake Square Mall. It continues to be operated as a family business.

Having served customers in The Villages for many years, Babette’s will open a 12,000-square-foot showroom at Brownwood.

Babette’s is also looking to fill a number of positions, including upholstery furniture technician, marketing assistant, service coordinator, delivery coordinator, visual merchandiser and office assistant/receptionist.
