Lady Lake woman lands behind bars after drugs found tucked in Crown Royal bag

A Lady Lake woman landed behind bars after drugs were found tucked in a Crown Royal bag found in her car.

Kansis Lea Charles, 25, of 220 Forest Park Lane, at 11:20 p.m. Monday was at the RaceTrac station on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 when the vehicle’s tinted windows attracted the attention of law enforcement. After testing the window tint, a search of the vehicle turned up a Crown Royal bag which contained marijuana, Suboxone, methamphetamine, Hydrocodone and “several loose needles,” according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Charles was arrested on multiple drug charges and booked at the Lake County Jail on $8,000 bond.
