Deborah Oleta Miller

Deborah Oleta Miller, 53, of Summerfield, Florida passed away suddenly Thursday, February 14, 2019 at Summerfield Emergency Hospital, Summerfield, Florida.  She was the wife of Rick Miller. They were married on May 7, 2011.

Debbie was born in Buffalo, New York. She was the daughter of David Suttell and the late Sharon Suttell. She was a graduate of the University of Delaware where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education.  She had been a Special Education Teacher.  Debbie was a full-time volunteer to several organizations. She taught the Nursery Sunday School Class each Sunday at the New Covenant United Methodist Church in Summerfield, Florida. She participated in the Church’s Mentorship Program at the Wildwood High School. While working with students at the High School, Debbie became active with the Education First Foreign Exchange Student Program. She and Rick had hosted students from Spain, France and China. Debbie was an avid supporter of the Special Olympics in which her son Shane participated, as well as the Champion of Champions program.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Rick Miller of Summerfield, FL, her father, David Suttell Sr. of NY son, Shane Dyer of Summerfield, FL daughters, Amber Meredith Miller of Norwalk, OH, Megan Miller of Lady Lake, FL sister, Cindy John of Titusville, FL brother, David Suttell Jr. of NY father and mother-in-law, Jim and Kay Miller, Lady Lake, FL sister-in-law’s, Kelly Pirkkala of Weirsdale, FL, Dee Leoni of Flemington, NJ and brother-in-law Bob Miller of Wakeman, OH.

Services will be held on Sunday March 3rd at 1:00 pm at the New Covenant United Methodist Church in Summerfield, Florida. A reception will follow at the church.
