Elaine Garson

Elaine Garson

More than a wife, she was my life for near 28 years. My Pittsburg sweetheart struggled mightily against the effects of a heart attack, surrendering only after 3 weeks in hospitals and hospice.

She is grievously mourned by her sons, Orrin & Ellis; their wives Bonnie & Rand; grandsons Robbie, Jared & Davie. Missed too by my daughter Linda, son Ray & his wife Sue, and my grandkids, Adam, Lauren, Guy, Jenna & Sammy. Elaine was blessed lately by our only great granddaughter, Poppy Joy.

Her friends who will miss her terribly include Marlene Haywood, more angel than friend; Lila Tuchman of Sonoma, Evy Shy & Ellen Feinberg, Elly & Marty Rothbard. So many wonderful people to thank for easing her final agony – The staff of the Villages Hospital, Blessings Nurse Lisa Johnson, Leesburg Regional Medical Center staff with a special mention for nurse Mim Story & above all, the lovely folks of Cornerstone Hospice who could not have been kinder, especially Nicole & Stacey. Finally, Rabbi Zev of Temple Shalom was a joy.

I shall never know anyone as good as my Elaine again. In the works of my late daughter Dodie, “A thing of beauty lost to time.”

Donations, if desired, to Temple Shalom & Cornerstone Hospice.
