23-year-old resident of The Villages caught driving on suspended license

A 23-year-old resident of The Villages was caught driving on a suspended license.

DaShawn Oxendine, who lists an address at 1105 San Antonio Lane near the Hacienda Hills Country Club, had been driving a rented 2017 Kia Sportage at 11:30 p.m. May 29 when he was caught on radar traveling 64 miles per hour in a 45 mph zone on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 at Griffin Avenue, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

Oxendine admitted to the police officer that he didn’t have a driver’s license and had applied for hardship license. A check revealed Oxendine’s license has been revoked April 29, 2019.

He was issued a criminal citation for driving while license suspended. The vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver.
