Wildwood Boosters selling discount cards to purchase needed athletic gear

Members of the Wildwood Middle High School Wildcat Boosters will be selling discount cards good at 35 restaurants and merchants on Saturday, May 15.

The group will be set up at two locations – Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Trailwinds Village and Ace Hardware in Wildwood.

  • The effort at Lowe’s, located at 5630 Seven Mile Dr., will be from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and will raise funds to replace the football team’s worn-out weight room equipment. The goal is to raise $14,000.
  • The other effort will be at the Ace Hardware store at 300 Shopping Center Dr. from 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. The money raised will go toward the school’s girls softball team. Parents have recognized the need to raise awareness of the sport at the school and they hope to accomplish that goal by acquiring new uniforms and gear. The goal is to raise $7,000 by the end of the year.

The discount cards will sell for $10 apiece. Donations also will be welcomed.
