84-year-old Villager arrested on warrant during traffic stop

An 84-year-old Villager was arrested by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon at County Road 466 and Buffalo Trail.

Charles Lorrane Schuman of Neighborly Way was arrested on a Broward County warrant charging him with criminal mischief.

According to Broward County court records, the date of the alleged offense was Feb. 2, 2006. The case was filed June 7, 2007.

He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $500.
