Fruitland Park woman arrested after fight with man over child

A 46-year-old Fruitland Park woman was arrested by Lake County sheriff’s deputies early Sunday morning on charges of simple battery.

Deputies responded to a fight in progress at 35301 Cross St. in Fruitland Park. When deputies arrived they discovered that a man and woman had been fighting over their child, according to an arrest report.

Taken into custody was Sandy Taylor, arrested on two counts of simple battery.

She was transported to the Lake County Jail where she later posted $2,000 bond and was released. She is due for arraignment Jan. 6 in Lake County Court.
