Phyllis Ann Wanta

Phyllis Ann Wanta, age 79, passed away on August 29, 2016 in Leesburg, Florida after a short battle with metastatic ovarian cancer. She was a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin the child of the late Frank “Francis” and Estell Barbara Cieslewicz Wanta. Phyllis was a graduate of Riverside High School and resided in the Milwaukee suburb of Shorewood for many years. In 2003 , she moved to the Leesburg area after retiring from the Boston Stores in Milwaukee.
Phyllis enjoyed participating in her church and staying current on world events. She loved to laugh and had a wonderful smile and great sense of humor. She also enjoyed spending time visiting family in California.
She will be dearly missed by her best friend, adopted sister and partner in crime, Gloria Ubich of Leesburg. She was preceeded in death by a brother Fabian Wanta, and a sister Irene Simon
She is survived by one sister Lucille Janasik, of Lincoln, California, neice Julie Ruark (David) of Auburn, California, and nephews Paul and Mark Simon (Cathy) of California.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday April 6, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM . Wake services will begin at 6:00 PM Tuesday night. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2016 , 8:30 AM at
St. Pauls Catholic Church, Leesburg. Followed by entombment at Hillcrest Memory Gardens,
Leesburg. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to
