The Villages seeks annexation of more homes on Historic Side

Five more homes on the Historic Side of The Villages are slated for annexation into the Town of Lady Lake.

A presentation on annexation was made Monday evening to the Lady Lake Planning and Zoning Board.

The old manufactured homes have been purchased by the Villages of Lake Sumter and will be replaced by new site-built homes. The homes are located at:

• 803 Maple Lane

• 852 Silver Oak Avenue

• 812 Beechwood Avenue

• 810 Beechwood Avenue

• 943 Tarrson Boulevard

This is the seventh wave of annexations requested by The Villages.

Years ago, homeowners on the Historic Side of The Villages were given the option of being located in the Town of Lady Lake or in Lake County. These annexations are providing the opportunity to clean up the “enclaves” and are a financial boon to the town.

The Planning and Zoning Board has recommended approval of the annexations to the Lady Lake Commission. The matter will appear on October’s commission agenda.
