A 79-year-old Villager has been jailed without bond in his sixth time behind bars this year.

Bond has been revoked for Richard N. Hendricks and he was booked this past Thursday at the Lake County Jail.

Hendricks has been banned from all Villages facilities, including the town squares, recreation centers, swimming pools, movie theaters and softball fields.

However, he has repeatedly showed up at facilities despite knowing that he risked arrest. He recently showed up at the Mark Twain Library at Paradise Recreation Center. You can read about that incident HERE

Hendricks appears to have found at least one loophole. He has been spotted sitting in his golf cart during evening entertainment from 5 to 9 p.m., parked on the street at Spanish Springs Town Square. It appears to be the one oasis available to him. A Lady Lake police officer is on duty at the square during those hours.

Hendricks repeatedly has been warned by letter from the District Office that he is banned from Villages property. He is also banned from all Town of Lady Lake property and The Pub restaurant on Avenida Central.

He has a long series of arrests in Lake County dating back to 2008. He was also arrested earlier this year on a Sumter County warrant. You can read about that arrest HERE.

In the past, he has exhibited some bizarre behavior, including attempting to pass himself off as actor Richard Gere.
